Web Interface Navigation

After you login to your Nextcloud, your dashboard will be shown.



  • (1) Application Selection Menu: All your apps which are available on your instance of Nextcloud
  • (2) Search: You can search for files and other data
  • (3) Notification: This is where your notifications show up
  • (4) Contact Menu: Give you list of users on your instance of Nextcloud and your contacts
  • (5) Settings Menu: Where you set your profiles, other settings and download desktop and mobile apps. For administrators, access to management settings.

The following diagram shows the navigation items of a core App – Files.



  • (6) Selected App: Indicate selected App
  • (7) App Information: Provides specific information for the selected App.
  • (8) Navigation Bar: Allows you to move up and down folder hierarchy.
  • (9) New Button: Enable to create new file and folder or upload files
  • (10) Grid View Button: Toggle grid view for files and folders.
